Helmut Schmid was born on April 8, 1925 in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria, Germany as Hans-Helmut Schmidt. He was an actor and assistant director, known for Kohlhiesels Töchter (1962), Die Tintenfische (1966) and Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse (1962). He was married to Liselotte Pulver. He died on July 18, 1992 in Heiligenschwendi, Bern, Switzerland.
