Jaquita Ta'le is the granddaughter of the late Actor, Director, Producer and College Professor Luther James, who was also a childhood friend and colleague of James Baldwin. Jaquita is also the granddaughter of the twice Emmy-nominated Hair Stylist Ora Green (Ora T Green, Ora Tillman Green). As a child Actor, Jaquita performed as Jaquita Green.
