Mike Turner was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His mother's name is Janet, his father's, Wayne. He has a younger sister, Catherine, and a older brother, Scott. At Queen Elizabeth High School, Turner was heavily involved in sports. Turner attended Dalhousie University, where he majored in economics, with a focus on business.
