Paul Shane was born on June 19, 1940 in Thrybergh, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England as George Frederick Speight. He is known for his work on You Rang, M'Lord? (1988), Oh Doctor Beeching! (1995) and Heartlands (2002). He was married to Dorothy Shortt. He died on May 16, 2013 in Rotherham.
