Andromeda Godfrey was born in Halesworth, England. She is the daughter of artist Paul Godfrey and author Patricia Godfrey. She moved from the Orkney Islands to the Hawaiian Islands where she lived until she was 18. She returned to England to pursue a degree in photography at Richmond University.
