Jaz Martin was born in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England. His ancestry includes Irish, English and Italian. Martin credits a chance viewing of the Yorkshire play 'Bouncers', by John Godber, as the spark that lit his desire for pursuing a career in acting. Martin obtained a BA (Hons) in Drama at the University of Sunderland.
