Lipe Viana was born in Macae, in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1981. In 2000 he moved to the capital city of Rio to pursue a modeling career but he soon realized that this was not his true aspiration. Nonetheless Lipe decided to hire his first agent and began auditioning for commercials and magazine editorials.
