Sinthuraj Ponnuchamy was born in Inuvil, as the eldest of two children of Ponnuchamy and Rathika. But at the age of 3, Sinthuraj and his family moved to Struer in Denmark, where he spent most of his teenage years. He graduated from high school in Struer, and moved to Aarhus in 2004.
