黛博拉·奥夫纳，Deborah Offner was born in NYC. Her father was Mortimer Offner, a blacklisted screenwriter. He wrote many of Katherine Hepburn's early films, was a well known portrait and studio photographer, and directed and produced on television and Broadway before his career was cut short.
