维尔·鲁特根，German actor born as the son of a German civil engineer. First studied economics in Cologne, later moved to UK where he studied Drama at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute with Marianna Hill. After graduation he secured his first acting role as Matthias Ruppert in a British BBC TV series 999 (1992).
