Emily Mest，Emily Helen Mest was born in the small town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She was raised by her parents Carol and Charlie and has one older brother named Elliott. Emily is of Italian and Irish descent. She is best known for her portrayal of Nurse Amelia Emerson in the Ryan Murphy Netflix series Ratched (2020) alongside Sarah Paulson. Emily also appears in the eighth season of Ryan Murphy's FX series American Horror Story: Apocalypse (2018) as Casey.She attended The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts as a theatre major. She then went on to tour the country with the Broadway musical "Spring Awakening" in the role of Thea. After the tour, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue more television and film projects.
