Jennifer Redbird is of White, Hispanic, and Native American descent. She is a member of the Ani-Stohini/Unami Indian Tribe. She won the Rising Star Award at the Native American Film Festival for her portrayal of Katy Sage in Morning Song Way (2006). She also gained an honorable mention at the Cherokee International Film Festival for the same role.
