Jack Kalian was born in California, and raised in Orleans, Indiana. In 2008 he joined the U.S Army as a combat medic. He did two tours, Iraq and Afghanistan, the latter earned him the bronze star. While stationed in Europe, he found his first acting role in a theatre performance, at the Amelia Earhart English Theater, in Wiesbaden, Germany.
