Chosei Funahara，Born in the Hyogo prefecture of Japan, Chosei Funahara was educated in both America and Japan. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the prestigious Nihon University College of Art's Film Department in Tokyo. While pursuing NYU's Graduate school of Cinema Studies, he performed as a founding member of the cult punk rock group THE PLASMATICS.
