Javier Castro had his first professional encounter with the audiovisual world as a photographer, shooting regularly for weekly magazine Sábado Gráfico in the early 1980s. He freelanced for journals and magazines (ABC, El País, La Información, etc.) He held a couple of solo exhibitions and participated in several collective photography shows.
