William Kernell，Composer, songwriter and pianist, educated in high school and a music student of Samuel Jospe, Milan Blanchet and Edward Kilenyi. Hewas a pianist for music publishers, then served with the French Ambulance Service during World War I. He wrote the Broadway stage scores for "Elsie Janis and Her Gang" and "Hello".
