当阿塞拜疆微图画家布约科从巴黎的一个艺术画廊回来后，有一段时间他的灵魂竟然出窍，经历了一种暂时的死亡。从那以后，死亡的阴影就完全掌控了他，他再也不能创作了。 The film “Toranj” is a symbolic religious and spiritual work. The theme of the film is about a famous painter, who senses death at his doorstep after returning from an exhibition of his works overseas. He is influenced by a painting of hell, which has been created by his friend. Fearful of death, this painter tries to escape it by any means possible. The theme of this film has been narrated by an elderly painter. In this film, Mojtaba Raai has made use of Islamic-Iranian paintings and has adopted a new approach in filmmaking. Ancient buildings, pictures, paintings, books and travelogues, and the remains of Iranian paintings are of significance in this film, which have been depicted alongside important concepts such as life and death from the view of an artist. Meanwhile, at the turning point of this film, the painter resorts to Imam Hussein (PBUH) and realizes the elevated meaning of martyrdom, which he skillfully displays in his painting.
