Gerda and Kristoffer travel to Rome to celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary in an irresistible film that pays homage to art, love, and the eternal city. 　　They are a somewhat mismatched couple – Kristoffer is gruff and practical, Gerda is sensual and inquisitive.
