The legendary rock festival "The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair" lasted for three days in August 1969: Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th. It takes a chronological look at the three days of peace and music, including original artists performances which have never been seen before. The highs and lows of the festival - the weather, the mud, the preperation, the organisers and the people who came from all over the world to participate. This rare and classic footage has been carefully restored and re-edited under the direction of DA Pennebaker with Chris Hegedus, giving it a new perspective and making it the definitive film of the most significant live musical event of the century.
