When a transfer student is introduced and tells her new classmates she’s not looking for any friends, the ostracized Yoko immediately pursues a friendship with her. Transferring humorously and sympathetically depicts the warm burgeoning friendship between two lonely girls, and explores the social issues of ostracism and universal truths of human relationships.
