This drama focuses on a woman who wants to start a new life with a new man, but cannot flee from the shadows of her past. Joachim Tietze, a farmer in the Hamburg area, believes that Ana, a young woman from former Yugoslavia, is the woman of his life. When Nikolas, Ana`s son from her first marriage, drowns shortly after their marriage, a stranger claims to be Ana`s first husband, who apparently has died in a fire with the couple`s daughter, and accuses her of killing the children.
