Shot shortly before his death this documentary tells the story of Jean Voigt`s strange and wonderful life. He was born in Copenhagen, a son of a tailor. His trainee period in the women tailor`s department at Magasin lead to years in a prestigious fashion house in Paris. Jean Voigt used his experience to start his own fashion house in Copenhagen while continuing a hectic career in Paris. During the years Voigt became one of Denmark`s most prestigious production designers and triumphed at Det Kongelige Teater and Riddersalen. His uncompromising and direct lifestyle combined with his craftsmanlike traditional and yet innovative design for clothes made him one of the most prominent personalities of our time.
