Chief is a semi-autobiographical sixteen-short film about an African American fathers return home from prison, and the effect of his return on his family. Keir returns home wrought with guilt only to find his wife Sarah and son Za' living in a desolate basement. Sarah is struggling to reconcile her son's need for a father and her need for a husband who's influence can hurt rather then help her son Za'. Chief is an examination of what can't be said and how what, what isn't said controls our lives.
