Chidam encounters with Chandara while diving in the pond for taking bath besides his work place. After several meeting at Chandara's village, they grow a feeling for each other and marry off at nearest Temple. Being aware of his daughter's activities, Chandara's father wants her marry off with another man. Chandara elopes with Chidam and Chidam's sister-in-law, Radha, and brother Dukhi Ram receive her cordially. Both the brothers work for Zaminder and his caretaker Ram Lochon. After the arrival of Zaminder at the village, Ram Lochon orders them to work for him. Dukhi Ram with fever goes for work and is beaten by servant of Zaminder. Returning from work with rage he asks Radha to give him food. Radha, also angry with Chandara quarreling all the day, squabble with Dukhi Ram and a mischief happens that brings misery for all the family members.
