A child shielded at birth from any contact with civilization by her parents, grows up in the duality between the nature's freedom and the repressive and strict household environment. Faced with her mother's escape from it all, forsaking her in the process, a will emerges to discover what lies beyond those known boundaries and ultimately to unveil where the river flows. "As Águas de Sua Mãe" goes thru the reality, the memory and the imagination of someone living in the threshold between the animal nature and the decay of human civilization, placing the viewer within the circle where man is influenced by its surroundings. It's a film where the Cinema itself is a habitat for characters and viewer alike.
