'Kartooz' is the story of wandering musician, Rocky (Mel Datta), who gets caught in the crossfire of a fight to death between the sinister drug lord Habul Ghosh (Faruque Azam), and Kabir (Pasha), a rising young gangster whose fiance was killed by Habul Ghosh. The two are hunting each other down and unwittingly Rocky gets caught in this deadly game. Good is pitched against evil but the difference between the two is blurred.Inspired by Roberto Rodriguez's 1992 film 'El Mariachi', 1980s Bollywood and Chinese Kung-Fu movies, 'Kartooz' mixes comedy, songs, lush green Himalayan scenery, lots of gunshots and fistfights with a tightly woven plot that unwaveringly moves forward at every frame.
