"Don't Call Me Sir!" is based on the real life story of Jackson Pollock's niece, Brooklyn-born Rena "Rusty" Glickman, the only Jew, man or woman, to receive Japan's highest civilian honor, The Emperor's Order of The Rising Sun. When she was 12, Rusty learned about the Holocaust and decided THAT was not going to happen to her, THEY were not going to win, she would be better and stronger than THEM. She didn't know how - until she found judo.
