After long years of waiting, to the house of a forester, comes joy - his wife is expecting a baby. But the happy expectation is violated by the visit of a fortune teller, referring to the stars, puts him in front of a moral choice: - tribal unity or successful life of his son, for which he must kill a deer and feed his wife with its meat. After a long and painful struggle with himself and unable to resist to the temptation of his desires, the forester kills a deer, thus making his moral choice, which destroys not only his dreams, but also the world in which he lives, and so passionately loves.
