A soul-searching journey into the mountains of Kurdistan by five diverse personalities joined by a single quest. A road movie with deep symbolic and intellectual undertones, fusing various cultures and perspectives in a humanistic display. NYU film graduates David and Alan roam the Kurdish countryside guided by local TV celebrity, Reboir, to screen Charlie Chaplin films in remote villages. At the start of their journey they meet Nazé, a French girl of Kurdish origin who tags along in a hope to find her roots. When every screening is interrupted, David and Alan abandon their plan and instead embark on a new mission: to help Nazé find her mother's village, an undertaking which brings them to the troubled Mount Kandil (dubbed by locals as the Kurdish Bermuda Triangle) along the Iraqi-Turkish-Iranian borders where they have to trot through landmines while in danger of possible aerial attacks.
