In this fascinating documentary, director Nina Grünfeld sheds light on the untold story of Nina Husvold and the Jewish children she and other Norwegian women managed to save from the Nazis during World War II. In 1938 Hasvold, a child psychologist and communist of German and Russian descent, established an orphanage for Jews in Oslo. When the Norwegian police started the deportation of Jews in 1942, Hasvold and the children fled to Sweden with the help of other women. Today the children are in their eighties and diverse in their way of living, but they are all deeply affected by the war and Hasvold's work.
